Job Title:

Customer Service Representative


1st shift: 7:45 am – 5:00 pm Monday – Friday (occasional OT may be required)

Job Descritpion:

The Customer Service Representative will effectively communicate with both internal and external customers, process orders and maintain good customer communication related to orders and project status. Their main responsibility is to support the customer, sales, and project management team.

  1. Provides a single point of contact to support our customers and sales staff.
  2. Communicates well with Customer to assure accurate information is gathered
  3. Serves as primary contact between customers, sales, production, shipping, and accounting operations
  4. Assist customers with project requests, general inquiries, and samples.
  5. Provide prompt communication regarding project status
  6. Effectively communicates customer expectations to Purchasing and Planning.
  7. Develops project time lines and monitors to ensure on-time delivery.
  8. Organizes and prioritizes multiple projects.
  9. Reviews customer provided project specifications and estimates.
  10. Presents project quotes for customers and sales
  11. Reviews and approves invoice to insure, invoice matches customer purchase order and sales order acknowledgement
  12. Serves as back-up and support for other areas of Customer Service as needed

Essential Functions/Skills:

This job is based in a office environment. However tasks may occasionally require access to the manufacturing environment which is not temperature controlled, and there is heat, dust, noise, fumes, moving equipment and machinery.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work/Other Duties:

This is a full-time position with some flexibility in work schedules/hours, but the employee should generally be available during the “core” work hours of 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. and must agree to variation in work schedules/hours and overtime. Travel: Not typically required.

Education and Experience:

  1. High school diploma or general education degree (G.E.D.).
  2. Associates degree (AA) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school preferred.
  3. Prior experience is helpful
  4. Competent in various software applications and certifications, such as Microsoft Office (Word and Excel).
  5. Must be able to communicate effectively via telephone and email.
  6. Must be well-organized and able to manage time efficiently.
  7. Must be reliable and able to maintain good attendance.
  8. Must be accurate and thorough when capturing and communicating data.
